This is a very rare and ornate early Victorian arm chair that retains the unique original green paint with decorative black trim color.The finish has age appropriate wear. Elaborate fancy work throughout. Decorative hand caned cameo back panel framed by beads. Fancy twist-wrapped finials and fancy twist and bead wrapped balls on the back posts and legs, curlicued arms. The set in cane seat will be replaced. Cane wrapped legs end in brass caps. This is a large and very substantial chair. It retains the rare Heywood-Morrill Rattan Company label.
