This is a rare and ornate natural Victorian wicker table. The top and bottom shelf are decorative quarter-sawn solid oak. The top is framed by beadwork and the skirting is flat woven reed with beadwork. Cane wrapped cabriole legs are adorned with fancy twist-wrapped balls and curlicues. Joining the legs are strands of reed with beadwork. The bottom shelf gives this piece additional strength and stability. The stretcher and shelf are joined to the legs, cane-wrapped and decorated with curlicues. Cane-wrapped legs end in brass caps. Partial Heywood Bros. and Wakefield Co. label.
