This is an early Victorian sewing stand with a nice natural finish. The open basket has weaving, spoolwork and a wood bottom. The legs are cane wrapped, supported by curlicues and ending in brass caps. The triangular bottom shelf is framed by a plaited braiding. Heywood Bros. label. Circa 1880's.
