Ornate Victorian Wicker Arm Chair This is a very ornate Victorian arm chair. The crest is arched and banded with decorative wide applied reeds in an overlay design applied to the back. Below this is a very ornate panel of beadwork and curlicues framed by cane wrapped posts. The arms are serpentine, ending in fancy twist-wrapped rosettes. The decorative reedwork and curlicue panels below the arms add significant strength to the design. This chair has a set in cane seat and shapely beaded full skirting. Cane wrapped cabriole legs with fancy twist-wrapped balls on the front feet ending in brass caps. This is an exceptionally fine Victorian arm chair. Circa 1890's.

Rare Early Victorian Wicker Arm Chair This is a very rare early Victorian wicker arm chair that has an exotic Oriental look with elaborate fancy work throughout. The crest has fancy reed-work and a cushioned head rest. Below that, a panel of wood turned spools and reed circles, followed by a back cushion and then a panel of latticework followed by a panel of wood turned spools and circles. This patten is repeated on the sides along with other fancy reed-work. The arms begin and end with curlicues. They are made up of shapely panels of latticework with cane wrapping. Latticework panels on the sides and front skirtings. Shapely curlicue design ends off the front skirting. Cane wrapping throughout. This chair has a set in upholstered seat that can be removed for upholstering, along with the 2 upholstered back panels. This chair would look stunning with an Oriental fabric.The legs are splayed with reed wrapped balls ending in wood caps. This is a large and substantial Victorian wicker arm chair.

Rare Ornate Victorian Natural Wicker Arm Chair This is a rare and unique natural Victorian arm chair. The unique aspect of this fine chair is the checkerboard pattern that was achieved through weaving green, bronze and natural reeds. The shape and style of this piece has a wonderful exotic Oriental look. The curlicued crest begins with a reed wrapped ball finial with alternating natural and green reeds. The back has a serpentine roll framed by braiding. Multiple weave patterns, beadwork, curlicues, birdcage and decorative cane wrapping add to the shapely ornate design. The seat is circular woven, rolling over onto the skirting. The front skirting connects the legs with beadwork, circles and braiding. The splayed legs are cane wrapped and embellished with birdcage designs and curlicues, ending in brass caps. This is a museum quality piece.

Rare Ornate Early Victorian Gentleman's Wicker Arm Chair Original Colors This is a very rare and ornate early Victorian arm chair that retains the unique original green paint with decorative black trim color.The finish has age appropriate wear. Elaborate fancy work throughout. Decorative hand caned cameo back panel framed by beads. Fancy twist-wrapped finials and fancy twist and bead wrapped balls on the back posts and legs, curlicued arms. The set in cane seat will be replaced. Cane wrapped legs end in brass caps. This is a large and very substantial chair. It retains the rare Heywood-Morrill Rattan Company label.
