Exquisite Signed Handel Hexagonal Table Lamp with a domical molded
glass shade that is signed on the top ring "HANDEL Lamps, Pat'd No. 979664"
and also inside the shade in script "HANDEL 6805." The cutout designed heat
cap and knob are original, as are the three sockets (one pull chain is replaced
well). The shade has an ice chipped finish and is painted on the interior with
shades of tan, gold, deep orange, green and red. There is a center splay in each panel
with a vertical floral motif on each angled side. The base is also signed twice
(for a total of four signatures) with a block print on the base rim and cloth signature
tag underneath. A similar lamp can be found on page 120 of "Handel Lamps" by
Robert DeFalco, Carole and John Hibel.
