Rare form Victorian wicker Turkish chair or fireside bench made by Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company. It is shown on page 60 in the reprint of their 1898 catalog "Classic Wicker Furniture" with introduction by Richard Saunders. It features a rolled woven arm, machine woven seat (replaced cane), numerous curly cues, and bird cages on the legs. This piece is also shown (without the bottom curly cues) on page 162 of the "Official 1984 Price Guide to Wicker" by Richard Saunders. It is an unusual form!
