Gorgeous Renaissance Revival rosewood Victorian music cabinet. The top pediment top was designed to hold a bust or vase and it has a marquetry front with an urn, flowers and a horn. Beneath this is a drawer with original brass drop pulls and floral inlay. The bottom door has a lovely central panel with birds and flowers flanked by an incised carved molding and carved columns. The entire cabinet retains the original gilt and ebonized accents giving it a very formal and elegant appearance. The door originally had a lock which was missing. We found an old brass pull that is a close match to the two on the drawers and installed it. The interior of the cabinet is all vibrant birdseye maple and has a shelf (replaced). A stylish and well made cabinet! Circa: 1870 Dimensions: 51"H x 35"W x 18"D Finish: Good original finish and patina Price: $7500.00
