Faux bamboo birdseye maple Victorian dresser attributed to R.J. Horner, NYC. It has an original thick beveled mirror (some minor silver loss) surrounded by a wonderful frame with an open work bamboo crest. Faux trim moldings decorate each of the four drawers, mirror, side panels and frame of the chest - typical of the design used by Horner. Each drawer has a faux turned bar pull. The chest has the original turned knobs that hold the mirror to the frame. The surface of the chest shows a darker spot in the middle back where the veneer has partially worn off (see photo). A very lovely example of this aesthetic designed style of furniture! Circa: 1880 Dimensions: 76"H x 49"W x 21.5"D Finish: Good polished original finish and patina Price: $3950.00
