Super quality ladies slant lid desk attributed to R.J. Horner, NYC. This piece features a dynamic bombe shape, extensive floral inlay with mother of pearl accents on top, front and sides, and carving including ladies heads in the front corners. It has cabriole legs with claw feet on both front and back. The desk interior has two drawers, cubbies, and fine quality brass hinges. The base has three drawers on top over two bottom drawers. All of these have mahogany secondary wood. Horner would often put stock numbers on his furniture and this one has "1922" on the back referring to this rather than the date it was made.
