J. & E. Norton, Bennington VT. four gallon crock with a
fabulous cobalt blue decoration. There are several small chips on the
inside top of the rim (see photo) and a small line in the glaze in the back
(see photo) The background color is a nice cream color with little
discoloration. J. & E. Norton did their work between 1850 -1861. They are
one of the most sought after potters by collectors. We had this great piece
of country Victorian in our personal collection for over 20 years!
