Fabulous heavily carved mahogany partner's library table made by George C. Flint, NYC (label underneath - see photo). It has a shaped solid top. The skirt is completely carved and features a drawer with a carved pull and a fake drawer on either side.

The curved legs have deep carvings that include bell flowers on the front and ram horns at the top and bottom. Even the shaped cross stretcher has carvings along the perimeter and a finger carved edge. George C. Flint and R. J. Horner are recognized as the two premier NYC furniture makers at the turn of the century. They produced the finest grade late Victorian and carved furniture. By 1915 these two firms had merged into Flint and Horner. This desk is a fine example of Flint's superior craftsmanship and design!
