Magnificent solid quartered oak china closet made by either Grand Rapids Furniture Co or R. J. Horner, NY. The heavily carved back splash has a gargoyle at each end. Notice the graduated layered top - a sure sign of quality! The hooded top is supported by two women, each carrying a basket. T is a beveled glass mirror (some normal silver loss) behind the hood. The front of the cabinet is carved and has an original serpentine glass front door and bowed glass sides. T are four original oak shelves with plate grooves and an original mirrored back (some mirrors have silver loss). T is carving at the base. Hooded china closets like this are hard to find.
