Matched pair of laminated rococo rosewood Victorian side chairs made in NYC. They feature open carved backs with a rose in the top crest and a cluster of grapes and leaves in the middle. The nearly identical chair is shown on page 94 of "American Furniture of the 19th Century" by Eileen and Richard Dubrow. There are several small splits in the outer layers of the laminations - very typical in chairs of this type. The fabric on the seats is old. We could have them recovered in your fabric for an added charge. A nice pair of documented Victorian chairs! Circa: 1860 Dimensions: 38"H x 16" Finish: Good original Price: $4650.00 for the pair
