Spectacular Royal Vienna Framed Charger in the original ornate gilt frame.
The hand painted charger depicts three semi nude maidens reclining after bathing at
the edge of a stream. The perimeter of the charger is a brilliant and varied cranberry red
with applied gold enamel with flowers and leaves. The artist signature is in script at the lower
right hand corner "Kauffmony" and the back is signed "Badende Nympfen" with the blue beehive
mark and "Austria" (see photos). The elaborate gilt frame is decorated with shell motifs in the corners, fruits and flowers around the interior, and is in remarkable original condition with just a couple tiny areas of old restoration.
