Fantastic Victorian mahogany center table attributed to Merklen Co, NYC. This company was noted for the "magical" way they were able to fit a wooden ball inside a brass foot. This piece features two magnificent massive rope turned columns holding up the top. Both of the horizontal surfaces have a quarter rope molding going around the edge. The base has huge ball in claw feet.
