Fabulous ebonized Aesthetic Victorian pedestal with curio cabinet in the middle. The skirt has repetitive incised carvings with a square painted tile in the middle of each side. There is a door on the right side with fancy brass strap hinges. The door, front and other side all have thick beveled glass. There is a mirror in back and a single plate glass shelf. The sides feature carvings on the top and bottom with a long horizontal pottery panel between. The legs have incised carvings. We believe the tiles with the Japanese motif were made by Longwy Co. England. They were famous for there Victorian tiles in this pattern. They were probably imported by the manufacturer to put into this piece. An exciting and rare piece of Victorian furniture.
