Stylish Eastlake Victorian lockside gentleman's chest. The
top gallery has cut out carvings and returns. There are six drawers with
fancy bookmatched burled fronts and interesting original cast brass pulls
with a child rowing a boat to a lighthouse. There is a hinged bar on the
right side of the chest. The owner could lock the drawers when he was gone
so the maid could not get into his belongings. We have the original key and
lock but the lock no longer works. There is fluting and carving on the
sides of the case. A very attractive and usable chest!
