This signed "KPM" hand painted vase is one of the best pieces
of porcelain we have ever offered for sale. It features a folding fan vase
held up by two full figured cupids. The vase has floral decoration on both
the front and back. It is highlighted by intricate gold decoration. This
piece is in perfect condition. Even the fingers and toes of the cupids are
original and all there. The mark is identified in "Porcelain Marks of the
World" by Emanuel Poche in plate #1054 as "Berlin Konigl, Porzellanmanufaktur
from 1857." A rare piece of porcelain by one of the premier makers in
superb original condition!
