Manufacturer: Affortunato Gory
Description: Fantastic gilt bronze bust of a woman with a carved marble
face made by Affortunato Gory, Paris. The subject has a floral
bodice and
flowing scarf draped over her head. Her face has a gentle smile with
downcast eyes. The colored marble base that the bust sits on has some
chipping and a crack line (see photo) in the back but this does not
affect
the stability of the bust. Gory was known for combining ivory,
bronze and
marble in his work. The contrast of the white and bronze is stunning!
