Most unusual thermometer with an ornate sterling
silver holder. The holder has a very intricate open work design
with a hollow handle. The collar around the thermometer is dated
1892. It is signed "Sterling" with the makers logo (see photo) on
the side of the handle. Thermometer cases in sterling are very
rare. This is the best one we have ever seen - very special!
