Early Victorian rosewood swinging cradle. The sides are made of fancy shaped rosewood slats. The cradle has a stop that holds it in place when necessary. The finials on each end are made out of oak and are not original to the piece. Slats or a piece of plywood could be placed in the bottom to hold the mattress. Caution: We recommend that a child not be left in this piece without adult supervision. Furniture safety standards in the mid 1850's were not as stringent as they are today. A great quality cradle! Circa: 1850 Dimensions: 49.5"H x 48"L x 25"D Finish: Good original Price: $2650.00
