Exquisite Portrait Painting on Porcelain of a lovely
dark haired woman with flowers in her hair and clad in a flowing deep red dress. She has a sweet pensive expression while holding a mandolin. The
original gilt frame is all open work with curved leaves and scrolling.
There is very slight wear to the gilt, indicative of its age, and one tiny leaf missing.
Signed in script on the back and also in a red circle
"Made in Germany." Wonderful detail
to both the portrait and the frame, a true work of art!
