Super solid rosewood Rococo Victorian three piece parlor suite
consisting of a triple back sofa, gents chair and side chair. Each piece
has a very elaborate open carved top crest with fruit, nuts and grapes. The
frames feature finger carvings with raised shaped panels and graceful curved
arms and legs. The sofa and armchair have the original brass castors on the
front. The sofa has castors on the front and back. Someone in the past
removed the castors from the front legs of the sidechair and extended them
with wood - professionally done. The armchair is canted back more than most
of the period making it more comfortable. The suite was recently
reupholstered with diamond tufting by the previous owner. There are a few
minor stains in the fabric. A very fine style and quality Victorian
suite!
