Interesting Victorian silver plated tong holder with dinner bell. We believe the center portion was used for sugar cubes and four tongs would hang from the spokes. The bell is hidden underneath (see photo) and sounds when the center rod is pushed down. The piece is dated 1863. It has ball in claw feet with heads in the base.
