Very high style Eastlake walnut Victorian cradle. The top of both the head and foot board is decorated with a burled rolling pin. There is a carved finial at each end. Carved buttons, carved and burled panels and spool turned supports enhance the design of both ends. The sides each have a row of open carved slats over a horizontal burled panel. One of the sides is latched and can swing down for easy access to the baby. The cradle can rock back and forth or small metal stops on one end can be dropped down to keep it firm. The cradle comes with it's original bottom slats and old mattress (Ok for displaying dolls but obviously would have to be replaced if used for a child). This is the best Eastlake style crib we have had! Circa: 1880 Dimensions: 44.
