Lovely rosewood Rococo Victorian period ladies desk signed by Alexander Roux, NY. This piece has an intricate open carved gallery and returns in front of a mirror. There are four small drawers above the pullout writing surface. The desk portion sits on four turned legs with a stretcher between. This is a great quality desk. It is very hard to find signed pieces! There is a label on the back for "Brevoort House, NY." That is likely the place where the desk first resided.
