Burled Walnut Victorian Work Table Fine quality Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian sewing
stand. The top is all burled. It has two top drawers with segmented
birdseye (great indication of quality) maple interiors. The top drawer opens
with a key. The second drawer has a carved wooden pull (some minor damage
where it meets the drawer surface). Beneath that is a rounded deep drawer
that would have been used to store the thread. It has a incised carved
"handle" in front. The open carved sides feature raised burled
panels and incised panels. A very fine work table of the period!

Great Quality Walnut Victorian Work Table Fabulous quality walnut Victorian sewing stand. When the top
lifts up a gorgeous satin wood interior is revealed with mirror on the
underside of the lid and various slotted compartments. There is an original
sophisticated metal sliding support on the left side. There is a rounded
drawer in the bottom that was used for thread. Even that has a secondary of
satin wood. The base has fancy turnings and carvings with a shaped
stretcher. It is obvious from the super original condition of this piece
that it has been treasured for the last hundred and forty years!

John Henry Belter Rare Sewing Stand Rare rosewood Rococo Victorian sewing stand attributed
to John Henry Belter. It has a needlepoint on the inside of the
lid. The identical piece is shown on page 83 of The Furniture of
John Henry Belter and the Rococo Revival by Marvin D. Schwartz. The
description reads, "A rectangular box-shaped storage area
with a sarcophagus like cover and a lower drawer with tapering sides
on simple cabriole legs supported by cross-stretchers that form a
shelf in the center. There is a pierced shell-and-leaf carving on
the bottom drawer. This simple piece was used with a bed by Belter
in a home furnished from the Belter shop." Belter made many chairs,
sofas and marble top tables but seldom accessory pieces. This is a
great find in excellent original condition!

Walnut Renaissance Revival Sewing Stand Beautiful walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival sewing
stand. The inset center of the top features a rosewood panel with
inlay. The top lifts up to reveal an original mirrored (silver
loss) underside and a number of compartments. There are two
drawers including a deeper thread drawer beneath. Each of the
drawers has a raised shaped inlaid panel around the key holder.
The legs are set at an angle and have incised carvings and inlay.
A wonderful work table!

The top has a floral inlaid oval set into to a lovely burled veneer. A
mirror is on the underside of the top and the interior contains four

decorated with burled panels, balls, incised carvings, gilt and black
highlights. A stunning cabinet!

Renaissance Revival walnut sewing stand Cute high style Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian sewing
stand. The rounded top has a fancy bronze ring with a medallion in the
middle of a man and horse. The top lifts up to reveal a six section
birdseye maple interior. There is a geometric inlay around the case. The
skirt has a series of chains on two sides (they are missing on one side).
There are also brass buttons added for decoration of which one is missing.
This piece retains most of the original gold and black decoration on the
skirt and legs. A little Victorian gem!
