Click for more detail...
221182

Lovely Victorian porcelain pin tray Lovely Victorian porcelain pin tray. There is mark on the
back with a star saying "France" beneath. We believe this to be a Limoge
mark. The tray has a wonderful original gilt border surrounding a painting
of a pond. It is signed "John Meyers -46-" One would expect that the
number stands for the year but the tray is definitely made prior to 1910.
It could be that the number stands for age, anniversary, etc or the painting
could have been made in 1946 on an original blank. A beautiful piece with
such a rich border!
