Gorgeous Burl & Inlay Oval Table Gorgeous Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut Table with a
spectacular burled and inlaid top with decorative scrolled incising around
the perimeter. The original burl is especially dynamic and the interior inlay
shows a sweet collage of musical instruments, bows, and a floral spray
in various fruitwoods. The table has original gilt and ebony around the apron with fancy
incised carved drapes on each side. The center pedestal has four splayed legs
with open work turnings and more fine embellishments with rosettes, buttons
and pad feet. This pretty table was likely made by the Berkey & Gay Company,
Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Fine Quality Walnut Library Table Lovely walnut Rococo Victorian partner's library table. This piece was deaccessioned by the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester NY. We had a new fabric put on the top surface. Each side has a drawer making the "front" and "back" symmetrical with a drawer on opposite sides. The skirt has recessed panels with a drop finial on each corner. It has graceful carved legs and a fancy turned round support at each end. The center stretcher is beautifully opened carved with an ornate finial in the middle. An interesting table with excellent provenance!

Large Rosewood Inset Marble Table Fantastic large rosewood Victorian center table. It has an
unusually shaped top with square corners and bowed out centers on all four
sides. The original white marble has some slight stains
and scratches is the top.
The unique base features carvings, applied buttons, eight supporting columns
and a magnificent solid carved center finial in the stretcher. We believe
this table to be NYC made - possibly by Alexander Roux - but we could not
find any label. A totally unique piece!

Round Walnut Center Table with Inlay Super style and quality round walnut Victorian center table with a lovely book matched burled veneer top. Note there is a slight joint separation in the top. The entire skirt features marquetry inlay and a drawer on one side. The drawer has a wonderful original cast brass drop pull with two lion heads. The tube base has four legs with burl and incised carvings on the tops and sides. It sits on the original metal castors.
Most tables of this style are made of mahogany. It is very unusual to find one of these in walnut with extensive burl and marquetry decoration!

Great Carved Mahogany Victorian Library Table Great solid mahogany carved Victorian library table or writing desk in fine original finish with rich vibrant patina. The top has a carved edge and some normal wear (shallow scratches). The curved skirt is wonderfully carved and features a drawer on one side with a carved head in the center of each of the four sides. The four corners have beautiful fruit carvings. The ornate base has four bare chested women with wings holding up the top. The thick sides are intricately open carved with a wreath of detailed fruit and leaves. The double sided bottom is also wonderfully carved. This was likely made by R.J. Horner, NYC but since we have never seen these identical carvings on a signed piece we can't make a definite attribution (perhaps it was a custom order). The carvings on this exceptional quality table are very sharp and especially well executed!

Walnut Victorian Table with Pietra Dura Top Elegant walnut Victorian round center table featuring a lovely pietra dura marble top. The marble was likely imported from Italy by the manufacturer of the base. It has numerous different stones set into a game board design. The skirt is shaped and has spool turnings on four sides. Four tapered columns hold up the top. The carved base has a number of applied buttons, four drop finials, and a superb open carved basket in the middle. It has the original brass castors. We suspect that this table was made by one of the better New York City firms of the period!

Stunning Inlaid Center Table Stunning Victorian center table with fabulous inlaid top. The center features a number of musical instruments set against a floral background. There is a detailed pastoral scene in each of the corners. A floral design over a burled walnut background extends around the rest of the top. The entire top is a Victorian work of art! The skirt has a geometric marquetry design with brass medallions and bottom trim. The tapered legs have gilt incised fluting and end in the original brass castors. The bottom stretcher is ornate with incised carvings and applied carved buttons. It supports a large carved finial in the middle. This table has been lightly stripped and finished. We were able to carefully preserve the original faux rosewood grain. A masterpiece of Victorian furniture!

Magnificent Renaissance Revival Dining Table Magnificent Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian dining table with two original 17" leaves. The skirt has raised shaped burled panels separated by fancy carved buttons. There are four incised carved drops under the skirt. The base features four bold columns with incised carvings and raised burled panels. The middle of the table splits apart when it is opened and a burled panel hides the seam when it is closed. The table has super heavy chestnut runners and opens to a total of 16'. Extra leaves could be made and center leg restored for an extra charge. It sits on original brass castors. A great table incorporating many of the stylish elements of the Renaissance Revival period!

Solid Oak R. J. Horner Partners Library Table Fantastic solid quartered oak partners library table attributed to R J Horner, NYC. The top has a deep band of carving around the inner rim and a rope carved molding around the edge. There is a slight seam separation in the top surface. The curved skirt is entirely carved and has a one drawer on each side with an adjacent false drawer. They have fancy original cast brass pulls. Even the interiors of the drawers are made of oak (see photo). The top is supported by full standing winged griffins typical of the Horner company. The griffins rest on a thick platform with bun feet. This is a magnificent table made of great figured tiger oak. A great example of R J Horner style and craftsmanship!

Magnificent Muti-colored Marble Top Center Ta Magnificent rectangular Victorian walnut center table with an original inset multi colored marble top. There are extensive carvings on the corners of the top and the curved skirt. Four fancy carved drops are under the corners of the skirt. The base has four shaped carved legs with an open carved stretcher between the pairs on the short side and two long stretchers across the middle with a round carving in the middle. Merklen Co. Quartered Oak & Brass Library Tab Fabulous solid quartered oak library table attributed to Merklen Co, NYC. This company was noted for the "magical" way they were able to fit a wooden ball inside of a metal foot. This table has a quarter round rope molding around the surface and bottom of the skirt. There is a drawer in the middle of the skirt on one side. The original ornate cast brass hardware on the drawer features faces on each side. The legs and cross stretcher have a bold rope turned shape. There are faces on the metal feet. The top has a very vibrant tiger oak grain. A great example of Merklen's work!

Floral Carved Burl Center Table Stunning Burl Top Walnut Center or SofaTable with two
vase shaped vertical side supports that have clusters of beautifully carved
