Great walnut Victorian swinging cradle Great walnut Victorian swinging cradle. The sides have lovely
curved slats. The top of the bed is open carved at each end. There is a
curved bamboo turned post that extends up from the cradle. The carved bird
head at the top would have originally held a covering to shade the baby.
The base has a fancy turned stretcher and original brass castors. This is
highly decorative and in wonderful original condition!

particularly fancy rolled woven design on the sides. It has the original
parasol on top (fabric is worn). The back adjusts to upright or reclining
positions. It is signed "The Heywood." It was made in Gardner, MA. There
is some minor damage to the front (see photo).
