Gorgeous Cloisonne Butterfly Jar Gorgeous Cloisonne Covered Jar with an array of colorful
enamel butterflies among a spray of flowers
and lavender tinsel flakes all around the circumference. The jar has delicately crafted top and bottom borders with contrasting color tones. The top cover has the matching border around the perimeter, more butterflies, and a ribbed knob (a little loose from age).
The base has no marking indicative of early work. In fine original condition,
this is a beautiful example of fine cloissonne.

Beautifully Carved Deer Shelf Beautifully Carved Victorian Walnut Deer Shelf with a shaped top shelf with
incising underneath (so it can be viewed from below). This is a very well carved deer head with antlers in a round raised center plaque that is decorated with more ornate incising. There are fancy curved returns on either side with small cone finials and rounded beaded rosettes. Fancy large rosettes and cut out carvings complete the base.

Signed Handel Bookends Pair of Handel Bookends of John Burroughs the
American naturalist and essayist (April 3, 1837 - March 29, 1921)
Both have the original "Handel" cloth labels on the bottom. John is
depicted sitting cross legged on a large rock intent on reading an opened
book. There is a signature on the base right of each with his name in script.
A very handsome pair in fine original patina.
