Rare Oak Conversation Bench Rare solid quartered oak conversation bench or tete a tete.
This piece has an "S" shaped back with a raised portion in the middle of
each seat. The back is supported by a number of fancy turned spindles. It
has two shaped seats and double support turned spindles around the base.
This unique form of seating was used so that couples could sit facing each
other and have a closer conversation. Sounds like a good idea for today's
romantic lovers as well - doesn’t it?

Stick and Ball Oak Cabinet Unusual oak stick and ball etagere. The frame is all
decorated with circles, stick and ball spindles, straight spindles and a
small cabinet with an original beveled mirror door. The various pieces are
joined together by narrow brass rings. This would make a wonderful display

Beveled Glass Oak Crystal Cabinet Solid quartered oak crystal cabinet with four glass shelves
and a mirrored back. The top has a carved broken arch crest with a fancy
flame finial on each corner. This crest sIts on a cornice top with carved
corners. There are carved applied dolphin heads above the two front doors.
The arched doors are flanked by a carved, fluted and graduated rope
turned column on each side. The doors and both glasses on each side all
have a thick beveled edge. The curved legs and apron are nicely carved.
This is a very stylish cabinet of superb quality!

Ornate Three Piece Oak Parlor Suite Ornate solid turn of the century oak parlor suite consisting of a settee, side chair and arm chair. Solid Quartered Oak Carved Library Table Fancy solid quartered oak library table. This table has a rope turned edge to the top surface. The skirt is curved with carvings in the corners and a drawer in front with an ornate carved pull. Notice that the drawer interior is also quartered oak (see photo). The table has carved legs and curved stretcher. The legs end in large claw feet. A great table-desk for a computer!

Narrow Size Oak One Drawer Table Solid oak extra narrow library table with drawer. The skirt, including the drawer, is carved with a lion head in the middle. Solid Two Piece Quartered Oak Corner Hutch Exceptional quality solid quartered oak two piece corner hutch. It has dental molding below the cornice top and below that is a lovely band of curved carving with a lion head in the center. The top section has two beveled glass doors and two vertical beveled glasses on each side with two rope turned columns. There are three solid oak original adjustable shelves with concaved cut out fronts. The bottom section has a carved column supporting two cupboards with intricately carved doors. There are two vertical raised and beveled panels on each side of the base. The cabinet has two large claw feet in the front. The number "1763" is stenciled on the back with the remains of a paper label (see photo). This is a very solid well constructed cabinet with superior quality and craftsmanship!

Regal Carved Oak Armchair Beautiful regal solid quartered oak Victorian armchair. The top has a fabulous intricately carved crest with turned finials above heads on each side. There are carved lion heads at the end of each arm. The side posts and legs are rope turned. The curved cross stretchers in the bottom have a carved finial in the middle. A half rope molding surrounds the seat. The chair has the original worn fabric on the back and the cushion seat is removable. A wonderful armchair!

The November 6, 1886 ad in the American Cabinet Maker and Upholsterer this hall seat is shown to be made by that company (see photo). The beveled mirror has a quarter round rope molding around it. There are four interesting brass hat hooks with a serpent motif. The frame is made of an intricate rope carving. There are metal heads on the end of each arm. One wonders how the rope twist back was constructed - a marvelous design! The feet end in wooden balls encased in a metal claw. The mirror is attached to the bench with long wooden dowels - see photo. A rare and attractive hall tree!

Signed Paine Delicate Oak Server Delicate Quartered Oak Shaped Server with lower drawer and
curved backsplash. The legs are long and tapered. The finish is the good original
varnish with a slight small ring on the right surface top. The original paper label is in
remarkable shape and gives the address for "Paine Furniture Company, Boston, Mass."

Magnificent Solid Oak Mirrored Halltree Magnificent solid oak halltree. It has an elaborately carved top crest with a face in the middle and beehive finials on either end. The round mirror has a thick beveled edge and is surrounded by carvings. Four fancy brass hooks and half round rope moldings adorn the sides. The bench has open carved arms with faces on the ends and a lift top seat with fancy brass strap hinges. The base is curved and has applied round buttons. Most halltrees from this period have rectangular mirrors. The round one makes this one very special!

"Connersville Cabinet Company" Oak Fine quality quartered oak curio cabinet with an original
brass gallery on top. A fancy leaf carving adorns the area just beneath the
top surface. It has four original shaped solid oak shelves and
the original paneled back (shelves are adjustable).
This handsome cabinet features VERY accentuated curved wrap around
glass on the sides, an unusual feature!
The key escutcheon has been replaced. There is an original label
"Connersville Cabinet Company" on the back.

Fancy Quartered Oak Server with Mirror Fancy quartered oak server with shaped beveled glass mirror
(some minor cloudiness in the mirror) on the top. The curved glass doors
feature leaded and beveled glass fronts. There is a curved glass shelf in
the interior of the side cabinets. There are two small curved drawers in
the top of the middle section with cast brass pulls. The curved cabinet
door has carvings in the front. Half columns flank the middle. There is a
large bottom drawer and nicely carved legs and feet in the front.
