brass loop handles. The interior has been done over very well within the last 50 years
with a lined insert, mirror, and delicate gilt framing. The lock is filled. The finish
of the wood is a light and smooth French polish. This lovely accessory may
be English in origin.

Scenic Brass Courtship Box Beautiful Brass Lift Top Box with very well done scenes on the
top, sides and front. The top depicts a gentleman holding the hand of a lady while
seated in an elegant garden. The front shows him holding her hand as they sit on
a period settee in a parlor. The two sides show the delightful scene of a young
unclothed child riding on the back of a crane! There is a removable original wooden
insert and original claw feet
on the front and back. We had some of the base seams reinforced. This delightful piece is probably European in origin.

Lovely Solid Quartered Oak Silver Box Lovely solid quartered oak silver box. It has original brass
handles and pulls along with a presentation plaque on the top. From the
script we assume that it was given to a Canadian couple but the box itself
is American with exceptional tiger graining. The original fabric in the
interior is stained.

Tortoise Shell Letter Box Most Unusual Tortoise Shell Letter Box with fine
inlaid silver on the lift top and front. Box is very delicately done with
birds, flowers, bows and more flowers that form a wreath.
The sides and back are covered in the original dark red leather.
The interior is in amazing original condition and is signed on the lock
plate by a maker we are not familiar with. There are several
small hairlines in the tortoise shell and four tiny tacks on the top
are missing.

Victorian Carved Ivory Trinket Box Fantastic little Victorian carved ivory trinket box.
There is a hunter with a hound carved in the top of the cover. The
bottom part of the lid is all open carved with birds and leaves.
The case has deer around all four sides. There is a open carved
grape and leaf design under the case. It rests on acanthus leaf
feet. Probably Continental. About as exquisite a piece of carved
ivory as you are ever going to find!

Store cherry spool silk cabinet Nice six drawer all original Victorian country "J & P Coats"
store cherry spool silk cabinet. The drawer fronts and back have the
original advertising. The cabinet comes with a stand with spool turned
legs. It is unlikely to be original but was certainly made around the same
period as the cabinet. Notice the fancy carvings on the drawer fronts!
The pulls have been replaced and there is a very slight seam separation in
the top.

The interior holds a period hand made wreath with flowers,
berries and leaves. It appears to be made out of wool. The
sides on this frame are beautifully shaped and beveled. We
replaced the outside backboard on the frame.

Fabulous walnut Victorian jewelry box Fabulous walnut Victorian Continental jewelry box. All four
sides are elaborately carved. The top has a raised burled frame that
surrounds a wonderful light colored "carving" (probably faux wood) of two
birds. The interior is wonderful with a compartmentalized tray that can be
removed to show a smaller tray and two neat little drawers that can be
pulled out with a cloth tab. There is a mirror in the underside of the lid.
