Affortunato Gory Bronze and Marble Bust Description: Fantastic gilt bronze bust of a woman with a carved marble
face made by Affortunato Gory, Paris. The subject has a floral
bodice and
flowing scarf draped over her head. Her face has a gentle smile with
downcast eyes. The colored marble base that the bust sits on has some
chipping and a crack line (see photo) in the back but this does not
affect
the stability of the bust. Gory was known for combining ivory,
bronze and
marble in his work. The contrast of the white and bronze is stunning!

Fabulous Rare Signed Tiffany Bronze Pedestal Fabulous rare bronze pedestal signed "Tiffany & Co, Makers,
0381 7331." It has a very elegant base with the original bronze patination
and silver highlights. The three legs end in well defined claw feet. It
has an original thick (1 1/4") onyx top (repaired) with subtle green and
blood red streaks. The repair runs along a vein in the onyx and is not
noticeable from the top. We have never before seen a pedestal made by
Tiffany like this. It is both rare and of the exceptional design you would
expect from the premier designer of the period!

Magnificent Solid Bronze Aesthetic Pedestals Awesome pair of solid bronze Aesthetic Victorian pedestals.
They feature a very intricate open work design. The tops have a hole in the
middle and a threaded bolt can be raised up. My guess is that this was used
to bolt a sculpture or lamp of some sort in place. There are claw feet on
the base. These fine quality pedestals are extremely heavy - weighing over
one hundred pounds each. A magnificent pair!
