Kilian Bros Candlestand Fancy ebonized Renaissance Revival Victorian candlestand
attributed to Kilian Brothers. It is decorated with brass chains, rosettes,
three metal winged figures and original gilt incised carvings. Some of the
incising on the stem and legs retains the original aquamarine polychrome - a
specialty of Kilian Brothers. On page 729 of the May 1999 issue of "The
Magazine Antiques" a Kilian Brothers stand is shown with an identical brass
rosette as one on this candlestand. A wonderful period piece!

Half Commode with Tear Drop Pull Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian half commode with an
original cut corner white marble. There are raised burled shaped panels on
the drawer, door and corner of the case. The corners are also decorated
with carvings and an applied carved rosette on the top and bottom. The
drawer has an original tear drop pull and the interior of the cupboard has a
shelf. The back is finished. It rests on original brass castors.

Dynamic Renaissance Revival Center Table Dynamic Victorian Walnut Renaissance Revival Center Table with
inset round marble and the original gilt incising on the apron and legs. The original
bevel edged brown textured marble has been professionally repaired. The indented
top has a strip of burl trim that follows the perimeter of the marble and there are
fancy hanging gilt incised carvings from the apron. The base has splayed open work
with more burl, gilt incising, and rosettes. The two tip finials are restored.
The feet have the original brass casters. This pretty center table is all in fine original finish.

Large Renaissance Revival Halltree Beautiful large size Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian
halltree with an original shaped white marble top. It has an ornately
carved top crest that features a round burled panel in the middle. The
original mirror is flanked by burl decoration, applied rosettes and three
wooden turned hat hooks on each side. Wooden arms extend on either side
to hold umbrellas. There are iron drip pans on the bottom and underneath the marble is a drawer with an original wooden pull. A very
impressive halltree!

Gorgeous Burled Front Victorian Cabinet Gorgeous Renaissance Revival American made walnut Victorian cabinet. The entire top, front and side surfaces of this piece are made of book matched walnut burl. The front is decorated with incised and applied carvings, brass rosettes and applique and ebonized moldings and carvings.
It features two copper plaques with Roman warriors in the top one and a nude with children in the bottom. If you look at them closely the detail is superb! The interior of the cabinet is beautifully finished all in satinwood with a shelf (replaced). This is a New York City cabinet - probably the work of Alexander Roux. It is a Victorian work of art!

Lovely Ebonized Candle Stand w/ Original Bras Lovely Renaissance Revival ebonized Victorian candle stand.
This piece features all the original brass decoration including rosettes, chains, fancy drops and lion heads with rings in their mouths. The entire piece is embellished with incised carvings with the original gilt. We had the very top refinished but we were able to French polish the original surface on the base. It is unusual to find these stands with all the original brass work!

Round Rosewood Renaissance Revival Center Tab Great Renaissance Revival rosewood Victorian round center
table. There is a nice double curved edge around the top. The top itself
has a couple of areas where the color is lighter (see photo). There are six
carvings around the skirt, three of which feature an open carved shell
design. The base has a chunky carved shaped center column and three carved
curved legs with rounded moldings, carvings and finials. It is hard to find
round Victorian center tables and the lovely rosewood grain of this table is
a further bonus!

Outstanding Renaissance Partner Library Table Outstanding and Large Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut Partner Library Table
with inset gold felt surface (done by a previous owner, couple slight stains, very usable).
The shaped top outer edge is burled with a beveled edge and the apron has more burl
with incising and two partner drawers (on opposite ends). The table features original hanging burled carvings
from the top. The base is a wonderful example of ornate Renaissance Revival craftsmanship
with thick carvings, finials, openwork, and a burled center stretcher with a large circular
finial and beading (see the photos). Finished all around, this handsome table deserves
to be in the center of a room!

Renaissance Revival Canterbury w/ Porcelain P Fabulous walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival canterbury. It
has two open carved decorations on each side of the top. The sides have
shaped raised burled panels with incised carvings. A hand painted porcelain
plaque set within a oval raised molding decorates the middle of each side.
The interior has four open carved shaped dividers. There is a drawer in the
base with an ornate carved pull. The drawer can open to either side.
Pieces with the porcelain plaques are quite rare and highly prized by
collectors. They were mostly made by the better New York City shops.
