Massive Solid Quartered Oak Mantel Large solid quartered oak mantel with 41.5"W x 36"H opening.
This piece features curved corners, various carved elements, fluting, and
raised beveled panels. It originally would have had a mirror on top. The
size of the opening is larger than most period mantels. This is a great
quality mantel of substantial proportions.

Mahogany Fireplace Mantel with Mirror Majestic two part mahogany late Victorian fireplace
mantel with mirror. The top has an intricately carved mask in the
middle and two lion heads on either side. Something likely sat on
top of the lion heads originally. The beveled mirror is surrounded
by a fancy carved molding. The base features two full figured
standing winged griffins. There is a curved carved portion above the
mantel opening. There is a sausage carved molding around the fire
place opening. With the standing winged griffins and extensive
carved moldings this is one of the best mantels we have offered for

Two Part Eastlake Chestnut Mantel Two part Eastlake Victorian chestnut mantel. The top
part has
a central beveled mirror with two smaller vertical beveled mirrors on
either
side. The top is decorated with numerous spindles, buttons and
incised fan
carvings. There are four turned columns in the base. The fireplace
opening
on this mantel is 37"H x 37"W. A fancy mantel of the period!

Fine quality Victorian cherry mantel Fine quality Victorian cherry mantel. There is a dental
molding beneath the top and lovely carved panels beneath that. Two spiral
columns decorate each side of the opening. There is some loss to the
moldings on the inside of the opening but these could be easily taken out
all together to make the opening slightly larger. There is a flat board on
the outside of each side which could also be reduced according to the
dimensions that you require. The opening for the firebox as shown is 30"H x
29.5"W. The mantel original had a top portion (probably a mirror). A
lovely period piece if you can fit it into your remodeling or building
plans!

Fabulous solid mahogany two part mantle Fabulous quality solid mahogany two part mantel made by Irving
and Casson, Boston in 1896 (the original label is on the back). It was
custom made for Joseph Osfield Jr of Pawtucket, RI. The base portion has a
double reeded column on each side with carved capitals. Above the fireplace
is a beautifully carved section with intricately carved classical figures on
each side and an urn with cornucopias in the middle. Fancy moldings are
incorporated into the design. The fireplace opening measures 48"wide x
39.5"high. The back of the sides have small cut outs for a floor molding.
The top mirror can set directly on the mantel as shown in the photo, or be
hung above it. It has fluting on the sides and a top portion with five
carved heads with wings and a carved molding. This two part mantel has
superb quality, beauty, original condition and provenance!
