Rosewood Fire Screen by Alexander Roux Fabulous rosewood Rococo Victorian fire screen attributed to
Alexander Roux. It has a wonderful intricately carved round frame with a
carved crest. There is a circular rosewood "tube" that is held above the
surface of the round frame by small spindles and elaborate carvings. The
crest and carved frame are all indicative of the work of Roux. The middle
appears to be a delicate floral embroidery on silk. This is held on the
post by a brass ring and threaded screw which fits into a small hole in the
rod. The top finial and tripod base are all beautifully carved. A
masterpiece!

Mahogany Rococo Vanity Mirror Rococo Victorian mahogany vanity mirror. The elaborately
shaped mirror frame features an open carved floral crest. The original
mirror is missing some of the silver backing. The base has serpentine
shaped sides and front with two drawers in the front. Notice the jewelry
compartments in both of the drawers. The drawers have beautiful grain. The
back of the base is dovetailed (see photo). A wonderful cabinet to store
jewelry!

Wonderful Pair Bronze Dolphin Andirons Wonderful Pair of Very Decorative Bronze Andirons with
figural dolphins, spiraled tails, and fancy top finial forming the posts.
The bases are very ornate with raised relief work of foliage, draped crests,
and ribbons ending with curled padded feet. The cast iron back supports are
all original and the bronze finish is in the fine original patina. There is a signature
on the back (see photo) but we are not able to make it out.

Rococo Rosewood Victorian Firescreen Lovely Rococo rosewood Victorian firescreen. The frame has a
beautiful flowing design with open carvings and flowers. The interior
floral needlepoint is in quite nice original condition and the
background has normal browning from age. The fabric on the back has been
replaced. There is an old repair to the gold liner. This firescreen is
very decorative and one of the nicest ones you are going to find!

Aesthetic Rosewood Map Case Magnificent Victorian Rosewood Aesthetic Map Case with a vibrantly grained
beveled edge top. The front has the original open shelving, and a pull out slide line with the
original oil cloth and roman key trim. There is some loss to the cloth but we left it intact
because it is original. There are two fancy brass ring pulls on the lip of the slide. The full opened turned
columns on the side stiles have an ebony hue and they are delicately decorated with gilt.
The sides are wonderfully rendered with ribbed picture frame moldings and great carved, incised
inserts highlighted with gilt. (Please refer to the photos for the extent of this fine workmanship).
This cabinet was originally used for map storage but has a multitude of other uses.

Victorian Iron Safe by Vulcan Safe Co. Solid cast iron Victorian safe made by Vulcan Safe & Lock Co.
This piece has a lovely decorative original ship painting on the door above
the combination along with original pin striping decoration. When the
correct numbers are sequenced in the door the handle can be used to open it.
There is a second door in the interior. When that is opened two small
drawers and a iron door front cubby are revealed. The door can be taken off
to move the safe - otherwise two people are NOT going to be able to able to
carry it. There originally were to top caps on the drawer hinges that are
now missing. A great decorative and very utilitarian safe!

Matched Pair of Victorian Walnut Lion Shelves Two very nice walnut Victorian wall shelves. They are very
similar but have a slight variation in the bottom. They both have a lion
head in the middle with a rope collar. There are extensive incised carvings
including the underside of the shaped shelves. They are decorated with
applied carved rosettes and turned finials. One is slightly darker than the
other. These are close enough in style to complement each other.

"Saratoga" Dated Beaded Pillow Turn of the century bead decorated pillow from Saratoga, NY
dated 1903. It features a stylized eagle clutching an arrow with an
American flag on either side. The bead work is generally in good shape.
Some of the bead decoration in the corners is missing and there is a very
slight tear in one corner. Possibly made by local Indian tribe.
