Up for sale is this fresh to the market OIL painting on wood of an Commissioned Officer .

We believe it to be an officer in the Confederate Army and was most likely painted by someone with a talent in the battlefield. It is hard to make out the color of uniform because of not being restored or cleaned, but has shades of brownish gray uniform. The background color of the painting is brownish with a circle of greenish gray and then the officer. The Oil Painting is painted on a one piece thin hand planned wooden board. We also believe that this Hand Made Walnut Wooden frame is the original with additional nails and original worm holes with the nice oxidation as proof of it’s age. Also there are some small sketches in pencil on the reverse side of another gentleman and some script written on the back.

The painting measures approximate 6 ¾"-9 ¼ " without the frame.The paintings overall measurements are 9 ¼"-11 ¾ inches.

condition: as found in the original state with some minor imperfections/flakes.......
