BRONZE AND MARBLE SINUMBRA LAMP
Bronze Sinumbra lamp, c.1825-1840 "Sinumbra" is a Latin word which means "without shadow." These lamps are a type of astral lamp, which were considered a great improvement over previous types when they were invented in 1820. This Sinumbra Lamp has an ornate,two tiered marble, detailed Bronze Base with original period globe and with a fluted stem.This magnificent lamp has been electrified about 70-80 years ago and has the original acorn pulls. The lamp has the original leaded glass prisms with three lighting fixtures.The lamp stands approximate 31 inches tall with a 10-9 ½ inch fitted shade………EXCELLENT CONDITION………….
