Avon's 1876 Cape Cod pattern was introduced in 1976 as part of the Bi-centennial celebrations in the USA. The pattern is based on the Roman Rosette pattern that was produced by Sandwich Glass Works of Cape Cod. Avon continued to market the pattern until it was discontinued in 1993. The rich ruby glass was produced by Wheaton Glass Company. Offered here is the large size oval platter in excellent condition. The platter measures 13 1/2 inches by 10 3/4 inches.
