Glass knives were advertised as not discoloring when cutting acidic foods like tomatoes (Remember, knives were all carbon steel at the time and turned dark from the acids in different foods.) All of these knives are crystal (clear) in color. The flower handle knife is 8 1/2 inches long and has it's original box. The star handle knives are 9 1/4 inches long. This wonderful 3 piece set dates to the 1950's. The beads are turquoise colored glass alternating with silver colored textured beads. The necklace is 19 inches long and has a slide insert clasp in a silver filigree design. There is no mark on the clasp. The coiled bracelet is approximately 20 inches long, but is a metal spring so that it coils around your wrist. At each end, there is a tassel made by a round bead wound in silver and 3 5/8 inch long tube beads. The earrings are clip style and have the same beaded tassel design. It's a wonderful set. 1

This U.S. Glass Company mixing bowl is referred to as the Slick Handle style due to the unique shape of the handle. 9 inches in diameter, the bowl is marked 'D & B Co' on the bottom. The cover is 10 inches in diameter with 2 tab handles that cover the spouts on the bowl when in place. It also serves as a drip tray when the bowl is in use. This pink ashtray was made by MacBeth Evans Glass Company during the 1930's. It's 3 1/4 inches square with the pressed snowflake/star pattern in the center. Each knob measures approximately 7/8 inch diameter and 1 inch long. The threaded end is 1/2 inch.
