A Brown Transferware Pattern - The Central Spray Is Thought To Be Of The Tea Plant Camellia Sinensis From Which The Pattern May Have Derived Its Name - The Shape Of This Bowl Is Very Special And This Delightful Pattern Is Repeated On The Outside Of The Bowl .
This pattern was designed in 1833.

It was first printed in blue and later offered in a wide variety of colors - brown being one of the rarer colors.

This Copeland Spode Bowl is in good condition with only a very small under the rim chip that is barely seen from the top inside of the bowl - see pictures. It measures about 9 1/4 inches across . Please note: There are reflections on the pictures not flaws on the transfer.
