An Elegant Antique Covered Pedestal Bowl
Woods Burslem England Braemar IMARI
A Beautiful Border Pattern In Cobalt, Gold Along With Rust Flowers ~On a Lovely Scalloped Blank.
Imari refers to the brightly colored Japanese colors- these being a dark blue underglaze cobalt blue and highlighted with a burnt orange enamel over the glaze.
Back stamp is shown .
This Covered Bowl is in very good condition with no cracks or chips - there is minimal wear to the gold trim - see pictures .
It measures about 9 1/2 inches across at the top of the bowl.
There are reflections on this picture - especially on the cobalt - not flaws on this piece.
