AD003
Tin Advertising Sign Framed Dyer Hughes Organs Antique This is a wonderful 19th century tin lithography advertising sign for Dyer & Hughes Organs of Foxcroft, Maine. It has a very unusual front surface which is heavily incrusted with a granular gold substance. The lettering is well defined. The condition is fairly good – it does have a lot of soil as if something was dripped onto the surface. I’m not sure if that can be cleaned or not. It is housed in a wonderful carved wood and gold gilt frame with a beaded molding all the way around. Very interesting and a hard to find item. This is from a wonderful old estate homestead in Alfred, Maine. Overall it measures 22 5/8" x 16 7/8" and the sight size is 18 7/8" x 13".

AD006
Velvet Tobacco Tin Lithograph Advertising Sign Here is a fabulous Vintage early 1900's Velvet Tobacco Advertising sign which is a lithograph on tin. Great subject with a Father and son relaxing and smoking their pipes full of Velvet Tobacco while his Grandson plays with the family dog. I really love the caption on this sign which reads - A man that loves kiddies an' dogs an' good tobacco may not be a saint but - I'll take a chance on him, signed by Velvet Joe. This sign is completely original. It is in a very simple light color wood frame and the surface has many light scratches - but still a really great advertising piece. Measuring: tin only 28" x 22 ½" and overall in frame 29 ¼" x 23 ¼".

AD007
Antique Advertising Clock Ever Ready Safety Razor So exciting! When was the last time you saw such a thrilling advertising item. This one is wood in the shape of a clock. It is all painted as you can see depicting a mans face who is just about to shave with his Ever Ready Safety Razor. It is from a very fine estate in Rockland, Maine. The overall advertising piece is in very good condition! It has a few stress cracks but they are old ones – they have been there for quite a while. They aren’t going to run. Interestingly enough the face is really really good – I see no scratches. It has the hands of the clock right in the poor guy’s nose and the stem for winding the clock is at the top of his lips. The clock mechanism is in the back. At this point I am not quite sure if it is working or not. Shortly I am going to have my Scottish clock master come and take a look at this for you. Either way a rare and exciting advertising item in surprisingly fine condition! The advertising clock measures 22" at highest x 18" at widest. Circa early 1900's.

aa2554
Country Store Syrup Dispensers Pair of Matching Syrup dispensers this pair dates from probably the 1920’s they are a good stylish superior quality pressed class with a very art deco design. They have chrome spigots for the dispenser, they both have lids and oddly enough the lids are blown in a mold. One has a mirrored plaque on the front with red writing that says Middleby Quality. The mirror on the other dispenser is missing. These are strong, sturdy and well made. If you have a bar or a country kitchen these would be spectacular.
Once again they are very heavy, very stylish, in excellent condition and dating from the early 1900’s
